Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week of September 2, 2017:

  • ICYMI: We profiled Leaf Elhai (’09).
  • Marguerite Bennett (’06) will be speaking at the 15th annual James River Writers Conference. Marguerite is a GLAAD-nominated, New York Times-bestselling comic book writer whose credits include DC Comics’ Batwoman and DC Bombshells, as well as stints on Batgirl and Lois Lane.
  • Tim Maness (’99) has been selected as as a Sinai and Synapses Fellow for 2017-2019. The Sinai and Synapses Fellowship is a select interfaith group of clergy, scientists and writers who are committed to elevating the discourse surrounding religion and science.
  • William & Mary senior and sustainability intern Livia Marrs (’14) was featured in the Wall Street Journal’s piece about activism around food choice and sustainability on college campuses.
