On October 12, 2017, social studies instructors Dr. Brenda Ericson and Tinsley Pollard took 18 students to Henricus Historical Park to take part in an archaeological on-site program.  The program allows students to learn the archaeological techniques, work with primary sources and recreate both artifact and non-artifact culture.  Henricus Historical Park is located in Chester, VA on the site of the Citie of Henricus, the second successful English settlement in the New World.  The Foundation covered the cost for all students to participate in the program, and dedicates funding every year to activities like this that enhance classroom instruction.  Donate to the 2017-18 Annual Fund to support this and other academic enhancements for Governor’s School students.
