Jillian Johnson is sworn in as mayor pro tempore of Durham

Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week of December 2, 2017:

  • Sands Anderson attorneys Faith Alejandro (’01) and Eric Howlett (’04) have both been named Virginia Business magazine’s 2017 Virginia Legal Elite. The Legal Elite are selected by votes of other lawyers across the state.
  • Congratulations to Jillian Johnson (’99), who has been appointed mayor pro tempore of the City of Durham!
  • Catie Huennekens (’01) and Alex Wiles (’08) are both volunteers for the Live Audio Description initiative launched by the non-profit Virginia Voice in partnership with the Virginia Repertory Theater. Their work enriches the theater-going experience for blind and visually-impaired people by providig skilled audio access. Read more here.
