Alumni News Round-Up: Week of March 24, 2018
Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week of March 24, 2018:
- Emory University political science professor Andra Gillespie (‘ 95) is quoted in this article about the 2018 midterm elections (h/t Carrie Kajwajy ’95).
- Shamin Hotels CEO Neil Amin (’96) talks about where the company is heading next.
- This week also featured two fantastic alumni events. First, on March 27, Taylor Teaching Award winner Lisa Williams spoke to faculty, alumni, and alumni parents about her award-funded trip to India’s Golden Triangle. Then, on Friday, March 30, we hosted the 4th biennial Alumni Showcase, during which more than 40 alumni returned to their alma mater to talk about the many paths life can take after high school. While the bulk of the Foundation’s programming is for current MLWGS students, we also value our role as the Governor’s School Alumni Office and the opportunity to coordinate and lead events like these.
