Not every MLWGS student has internet access in their home, which can make completing homework assignments, projects, and research outside of school hours logistically difficult.  In recognition of this fact, MLWGS Chief Technology Officer David Bortz worked with the Foundation to purchase ten Kajeet wifi devices and service for them.  The small, portable devices act as wireless hotspots and are specifically designed to be used in a K-12 setting.  The Foundation is paying for another school year’s worth of service for the devices for the 2018-19 school year.  This funding is a part of our student aid category, which provides support for students in financial need.

If you think your student could be a candidate for a Kajeet wifi device, please contact David Bortz.  If you think your student could benefit from access to student aid funding for other school-related expenses, don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Wendy Ellis to discuss.  Student aid funding can cover student fees, class-related travel costs (including international trips), club dues, yearbook purchase, class t-shirt purchase, and much more.  We want to help your exceptional student make the most of their time at MLWGS!
