Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week fo September 1, 2018:

  • We love getting updates from our alumni around the world!  Leaf Elhai (’09) shared the following with the alumni Facebook group: “Two months ago I moved to Mussoorie, India to teach at the Woodstock School. Imagine my surprise last night when I met Dolan Edinboro (’16), who is studying here through the University of Pittsburgh Pitt in the Himalaya program. It’s a small world for us globe-trotting MLWGS alums!”  You can read our profile of Leaf from last year here.
  • And another one!  Amar Shah (’04) volunteered his time to help Nisha Ligon (’04) strategize about the future of her Tanzania-based educational entertainment company, Ubongo.  Here they are in Dar es Salaam.
  • Jamey Stegmaier (’99)‘s Stonemaier Games announced the upcoming release of a new game, Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig.
  • Business Insider put MLWGS at #15 on its list of the 50 smartest public high schools in America.
  • Reunions Weekend for the classes of 1998, 2003, 2008, & 2018 is almost here!  Buy tickets here and join us October 5th-7th.
  • All alumni of any graduation year are invited to help kick off Reunions Weekend both at Fall Festival (4 pm – 8 pm) and at the annual alumni reception at Bottoms Up from 8:30 pm – late on Friday, October 5.
  • Our first Alumni Steering Committee meeting of the year was this past week.  We’d like to say welcome and thanks again to our new members, Caroline Creasey (’12), Megan Morris (’13), and Adam Powers (’10).
