Students involved in Peer Mentors at MLWGS are attending workshops developed by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, a non-profit that works with schools and community groups through the Merging Leaders Institute.  One will focus on examining and reimagining school culture, which will allow students to think through the challenges in creating a culture where everyone belongs as well as practical ways to motivate others to work toward a more inclusive school climate.  They will also be discussing how to “involved the uninvolved,” in an effort to promote community engagement and leadership.  The Foundation covered the cost of these workshops as well as pizza for students attending them.

The 2018-19 Annual Fund supports all of our enhancement grant programming.
