Alumni News Round-Up: Week of March 2, 2019
Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week of March 2, 2019:
- Derrick Wang (’16) was recently selected to be the next Board of Visitors student representative at the University of Virginia. “I think the best a student representative can do is to try to accurately represent the full range of views and opinions on a matter, with the emphasis on elevating voices that aren’t traditionally heard, and especially elevating the concerns of those who are most directly impacted by given policies,” Wang said.
- Durham, NC Mayor Pro Tem Jillian Johnson (’99) announced her bid for re-election to Durham City Council.
- Harish Tekriwal (’17) was one of two undergraduates to outcompete Dartmouth faculty members and researchers to win a $5,700 grant from the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society.
- The RTD talked to Crystal Robens (’96), who recently announced her candidacy for the Hanover Board of Supervisors Beaverdam District. Read more here.
