Alumni News Round-Up: Week of September 21, 2019
Here’s our round-up of alumni news from the week of September 21, 2019:
- Forbes reports that Alloy, founded by Tommy Nicholas (’07), Charles Hearn (’09), and Scott Clark (’09) raised $12 million in a round of venture funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
- Emmanuel Pratt (’95) is the director of Chicago’s Sweet Water Foundation, which recently opened an installation at the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennial. We learned later this week that Emmanuel was awarded a 2019 MacArthur Genius Grant. Wow!
- Lucy Dacus (’13) wrote about Bruce Springsteen in honor of his 70th birthday for Vanity Fair.
- Jenny Han (’98) will be scripting and executive producing an episode for the new Netflix anthology show NOTES ON LOVE from Shonda Rhimes.
