Alumni News Round-Up: Week of November 16, 2019

- Sara Schaefer (’96)‘s half-hour special for Comedy Central premiered on Friday, November 22nd.
- NBC12 talked to Emlyn Crenshaw (’11) about working as a showrunner’s assistant on the Netflix series “Raising Dion,” which debuted in October. “It was a really special show on screen but also behind the screen,” Crenshaw said. “It was really diverse and thoughtful.”
- Harvey Creasey (’14) shared a segment on the Today Show with Dolly Parton.
- Thanks to Erika Parker New (’07) for doing our second alumni Instagram takeover! Erika is a Reproductive & Infertility Fellow at the University of South Florida. You can see a day in her life on Instagram @gsgisfoundation.
- In RVA for Thanksgiving? Catch up with MLW/GSGIS alumni friends on Black Friday (11/29) at Castleburg Brewery (1626 Ownby Ln). Scheduled for a dinner-plan-friendly 4 – 6 pm and co-hosted by Catherine Nicholas ’04, Karen Setzer ’99, and Amy Weiss ’03. This has become a fun holiday tradition, and we hope you’ll join us this year!
