Spring means lots of Foundation funding for student travel.  This year, we committed to offsetting the cost of class-related trips for students traveling to Morocco (MENA senior seminar), Canada (AP Comparative Government), Phoenix (Math Modeling), and DC (We the People).  The combined enhancement grants for these four trips total just over $57,000, all of which goes to reduce or eliminate the cost for participating students and their families. Grant Spotlight: ODUMUN

Governor School Model UN returned victorious once again from their winter conference.  The team traveled to the Norfolk Sheraton Waterside from February 15th to the 18th to compete in the Old Dominion University Model United Nations Conference.  Over 2000 students were in attendance.  Team members participated in various committees focusing on a range of topics: disarmament, humanitarian aid, economic development, security council reform, rights of indigenous peoples, and Brexit.  Award winners included: Liam Goble-Garrett ('18), Aditya Kannoth
