Congratulations to Sam Ulmschneider's We the People team on winning the state title once again this year!  This makes the 20th state-level win for MLW/GSGIS teams.  As in years past, the Foundation has committed to providing $20,000 to offset the costs of the team competing at Nationals.  The competition was free for qualifying teams for many years, but after Congress declined to renew funding, costs were passed along to the teams.  Last year, the total

The Governor's School Foundation is proud to cover much of the cost of participation in the We The People National Championship competition every year.  For many years, the competition was free for all qualifying teams, but congressional budget cuts mean that it now costs teams tens of thousands of dollars to attend.  In the 2016-17 fiscal year, the Foundation provided an initial enhancement grant of $20,000 to the We The People team and worked with
