SUMMARY:New Alumni and Friends Readers Club Launches January 13
DESCRIPTION:Short on time but love to read? The new Alumni and Friends Readers Club is for you! The brainchild of alumni Neha Bhatnagar ’00 and GT Nuckolls ’00\, this fun twist on a book club will be a time for alumni\, friends of alumni and MLWGS teachers past and present to come together\, socialize and share about whatever they are currently reading—whether it be a book\, article\, poem or any other written work. \nThe first Alumni and Friends Readers Club is happening on January 13\, 6–7pm\, in the Community Room at the Crossridge Publix (10250 Staples Mill Rd\, Glen Allen\, VA 23060). There will also be dates set for February and March. This could be a great part of any New Year’s resolution to read more and get off the apps! Hope to see you there! DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Governor’s School Reunions Weekend will take place September 26-27\, 2025! \nEach year\, the Foundation helps coordinate events for Governor’s School classes celebrating 5-\, 10-\, 15-\, 20-\, 25- and now 30-year Reunions. \nAlumni of the Classes of 1995\, 2000\, 2005\, 2010\, 2015\, and 2020 are working on their individual Reunions Classes Celebrations on Saturday evening. Information about each class’s plans will be added here and shared via social media and email beginning the first weekend of August. If you’d like to help organize your class’s event\, email Foundation & Alumni Office Executive Director Ginger O’Neil at goneil@mlwgsfoundation and she will get you connected. \n  \nClass of 2000–The 25-year class reunion will be held on Saturday\, September 27\, at Vasen Brewery in Scott’s Addition from 7-9pm. Get more information and order tickets here! \n  \nClass of 2005–The 20-year class reunion will be held on Saturday\, September 27\, at Legend Brewing Company from 6:30-9:30pm. Get more information and order tickets here! \n  \nAlumni from ALL CLASSES are invited to Bottom’s Up Pizza on Friday evening (7-10pm) where the Foundation & Alumni Office will host a pizza buffet with cash bar. \nThe fun begins will begin with MLWGS Fall Fest\, which runs from 2-6pm at MLWGS.  A highlight for Alumni celebrating their 10-year Reunions is receiving their 10-Year Letters to Self\, which the Foundation coordinates during their senior years and returns at Fall Fest and the 10th Reunion class event. \nCheck back for  more information about Reunions Weekend 2025 as it becomes available!

DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Foundation helps coordinate events for our classes celebrating 5-\, 10-\, 15-\, 20-\, 25- and now 30-year Reunions. A highlight for Alumni celebrating their 10-year Reunions is receiving their 10-Year Letters to Self\, which the Foundation coordinates during their senior years and returns at the 10th Reunion. \nThe 2024 Reunions Weekend took place September 27-29\, 2024. Alumni from all classes gathered at Bottom’s Up Pizza on Friday evening (7-10pm). \nAlumni of the Classes of 1999\, 2004\, 2009\, 2014\, and 2019 celebrated their special reunions at the Reunions Classes Celebrations on Saturday evening from 7-10pm at ZZQ in Scott’s Addition. The evening included a special venue created just for us as well as drinks\, sweets\, and a great time for alumni to reconnect with classmates. \nCheck back for information about Reunions Weekend 2025!
