This spring, Robinette Cross, Lisa Williams, and Joy Davis chaperoned the second-ever Middle East & North Africa senior seminar trip to Morocco. Robinette Cross, who led the trip, lived and studied in Morocco for several years, including a year doing research on a Fulbright. She brings an amazing depth of knowledge to the seminar and puts an incredible amount of work into making the trip into the culminating educational experience of the class.  In the capital city of Rabat, students got to practice the Arabic they learned during the year while staying with their Moroccan host families.  After that, they visited Fez and the “blue city” of Chefchaouen.  This trip couldn’t be a more perfect fit with the mission of MLWGS, as it integrates a year of intensive curricular study (including language instruction) with the experience of international travel.

The Foundation offset the overall cost of the trip by $12,750 and covered the remaining cost for three students in need of financial aid.
