Grant Spotlight: 2nd Cubing Club Competition

The MLWGS Foundation proudly supported the Cubing Club's second World Cube Association (WCA) competition, which was held on January 18, 2020. Over 80 speed-solvers from Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina tested their skills under supervision from official WCA delegates. Cubing Club officers John Staley, Jacob Lee, Ryland Wilson, Ross George, and Uzair Bhatti organized the event along with club sponsor John Wilkes. Gifts to the 2019-20 Annual Fund support everything we do.

Grant Spotlight: Rubik’s Cube Competition

The MLWGS Cubing Club held their first-ever Rubik's Cube Competition on Saturday, April 13th at MLWGS. The event sold out and was a huge success! About 250 people, including 90 competitors from age 6 to 40 along with families, guests, and volunteers came from as far away as West Virginia and North Carolina to test their skills in events with the 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and pyraminx.
