The Governor's School Foundation would like to welcome all new and returning faculty, students, and families back for the new school year!  For those of you who may not be familiar with the Foundation, it is a non-profit established to support the students and faculty of the Maggie Walker Governor’s School.  In the 2014-15 fiscal year, the Foundation raised more than $357,000 to help enhance the educational experiences of MLWGS students, assist in sending teachers

Maggie Walker Students Place Second at ‘We the People’!

The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School We the People Team has placed second in the nation in The Citizen and the Constitution National Finals, which took place Monday, April 27th in Washington, DC.  The 2015 competition marks the 9th time Maggie Walker has finished in the top three since 2003 (2011 and 2003 National Champions).  Additionally, Walker’s Unit 1 won the prestigious Magna Carta Award for the highest score in the nation on the Magna

Grandparent’s Day – 2015
